Tucked beneath the Victorian cellar arches of The Ampersand Hotel, Apero brings a shot of fresh Mediterranean style to the heart of South Kensington.

Softly lit, with cool white metro tiles and exposed brick walls, Apero is an intimate, laidback restaurant in Kensington where you can catch up over a shared plate of something deliciously simple and modern. Both locals and hotel guests gather here from breakfast to late evening, drawn by menus inspired by the Mediterranean's best-sourced ingredients and the region's most enduring flavours.

The buzzy bar at Apero, which is tended by staff with a real passion for what they serve, is an understated but glamorous spot to get into the ‘aperitivo' spirit with a signature cocktail or glass of wine before sitting down for dinner. If the occasion requires greater privacy, the leather banquettes in our snug offer a discreet space for up to six people, which can even be curtained off by elegant drapes.
